Eric Hartley has over twenty years' experience working in SMEs in the UK and abroad. In that time Eric has been involved in sales and marketing, product development and management development across a range of industries including food manufacturing, publishing, retailing, printing, home improvements and a wide range of business to business services.

Eric's work with senior decision makers has involved developing robust sales and marketing strategies as well as helping them to understand and set SMART business and personal goals. His understanding of national and global business trends, coupled with an acute level of technological awareness, helps him to see beyond the barriers and create innovative yet achievable solutions to problems.

Eric is an award-winning public speaker and has spoken at conferences across Europe. In his spare time he writes short stories and keeps a variety of freshwater tropical fish.

Eric is based in Beverley, East Yorkshire. He founded Eric Hartley Ltd in 2004, which was later rebranded as EK to reflect the growth of the company. He studied at St Andrews University and York University. He later returned to St Andrews to work for Longman Cartermill, then spent four years in Luxembourg teaching English to senior managers in the financial industry. Eric Hartley moved to East Yorkshire in 1997 where he worked for Innovative Foods Ltd as a Marketing Manager. He then went on to work as a marketing manager for The Blue Water Partnership before setting up Eric Hartley Ltd which specialises in providing marketing support for small and medium sized companies in Yorkshire.
