A team which excels will obviously be made of individuals who are skilled at their jobs (but what if they aren't? - see Coaching). But that clearly isn't enough, something which is demonstrated every time an ailing football club changes its manager and suddenly sees success on the field. For a team to operate well the right climate must have been set up where the Leader inspires, motivates and supports the team members. The team must also have the right balance of individuals whose personalities do not clash and who are able, amongst themselves, to fulfill the functions of a successful team. It is all very well to have good ideas, but without somebody to plan their implementation, somebody to actually implement and somebody to check that the task has been properly carried out, the idea will go nowhere! This does not need to be left to chance. At ELK, we can help you to nurture your teams so that they achieve things that you did not think were possible.
